Hi, I’m Abdihamid “AJ” Abdirahman 👋🏾 — a cybersecurity professional, cloud security enthusiast, and founder of Zafiyatech Consulting. With over 3 years of hands-on experience in SIEM engineering, incident response, and cloud security, I specialize in building secure systems, detecting advanced threats, and empowering others to thrive in tech.

I hold a B.S. in Information Assurance & Cyber Defense from Eastern Michigan University and am currently pursuing advanced certifications through the SANS Technology Institute (GFACT, GCIH, GSEC, GCIA) 🎓. My toolbox includes platforms like Splunk, Sumo Logic, EDR solutions, and cloud environments like Azure and VMware.

🧠 I’ve engineered threat detection rules aligned with the MITRE ATT&CK framework, automated response workflows, and driven compliance initiatives using ISO 27001 controls. My work has reduced cloud costs, improved uptime, and enhanced overall security posture across enterprise environments.

Outside of work, I founded Zafiyatech Consulting, where I mentor first-gen professionals and minorities, helping them break into cybersecurity through resume reviews, mock interviews, and hands-on workshops. To date, I’ve helped 50+ people land jobs and scholarships — and I’m just getting started.
